About Us

Kidlutions was founded by Wendy Young, LMSW, BCD, the mom of three, an award-winning child and family therapist and an Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Michigan State University's School of Social Work and is the Clinical Director of Comprehensive Counseling & Consulting, LLC. She holds both a clinical and macro license in clinical social work.  She is the co-author of BLOOM: 50 Things to Say, Think and Do with Anxious, Angry and Over-the-Top Kids, along with Dr. Lynne Kenney.

Wendy also consults to the Michigan Department of Community Health/Department of Education. She has expertise in trauma, anger and anxiety management for kids, grief and loss and behavioral disorders.

Her writing has appeared in magazines such as Parenting, Family Fun and Woman's World. Her work has also been featured in several books. She resides in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and is recognized world-wide as a thought leader in early childhood and adolescent mental health. Her website is www.kidlutions.com.
